Universal Custom Works Entry

A quick and easy way to enter custom work for any project. A form that would exist and accessible with one click from the dashboard, you'd select which project and then enter the custom work. Currently the method of having to go about 4 layers deep is very time consuming when doing lots of small updates.

UI improvements for Custom Work feature
K
Kevin Roberts
I've been using the Custom Works feature a lot to record tasks I want to appear in the monthly report.
1) The English wording "Custom Works" is incorrect. It should be "Custom Work" (which in English would refer to 1 or more tasks). If I say I have done custom work for someone, that could refer to any number of jobs. I would not say I've done "custom works" for someone if I did more than one job.
2) It would be very useful to have a "Custom Work" button next to the "Manage Notes" button to take you to the "Manage Custom Work" page.
3) It would be much easier to have clickable icons for each item in the "Manage Custom Works" list (instead of the Action drop down to select Edit or Delete). The drop down means you always have to click twice to either edit or delete an item (and delete would always confirm, so no danger of accidentally deleting an item)
4) Instead of "Manage Custom Works" list header should say "Custom Work Items" or "Custom Work"
5) "Add a custom work" button should say "Add custom work item"

Custom works as templates
K
Kim Niclas
I have the same "custom works" from time to time and would be delighted if I could create them as templates.
Then I could simply select the template for each new report, choose the appropriate date and insert it into the report.
That would be great! 🚀🥳

Custom Works Sorting and Reporting

- Make the Custom Works form page sort the entries by date in ascending order between saves and refreshing the page.
- Make the Custom Works form page dates align with the dates in the Custom Works section in the report preview. Currently the report preview dates are -1 day off from the correct Custom Works dates.

Zapier Integration - Custom Works

It would be amazing if we could have Zapier integration, that way tasks from our CRM that have been completed on a monthly basis could be automatically added to "Custom Works" for reporting. I think this would be a great feature for agencies, specially the ones managing 20-500 websites.

Zapier or alternative connection

The custom work is a under appreciated part of wpumbrella, as it is other wordpress management tools, primarily because its clunky, as they all are. Aside from a simple task management i have already posted, what about a zapier/make etc connection so that if using another tool for tasks, you can set it up to automatically pull through to custom work.

Import Custom Work (CVS or Sync to Google Sheet)
JD
Adding Custom Work manually is great, and a HUGE improvement would be syncing this with a Google Sheet. In fact, a Zapier integration would also rock which would allow us to map fields from whatever software we use to track Custom Work already (e.g., Airtable, etc). If that were possible, trust me, word would spread so fast to freelancers & agencies who sell Web Care Plans! I can share more details on my use case if anyone is interested.

Custom work and task management

Two ways I think the reports and wpumbrella could be more beneficial. First, why not have a task dashboard, which shows all tasks needed. So on one page, you can add a task, assign it to a site and simply have it as to do, in progress or complete. Then when the task is marked as complete it automatically gets added to the custom work for the month. This way there is no need for several clicks just to get to the custom work section. but you also have a useful, simple task management dashboard, to see where you are

Apply Custom Works to All Sites at Once

Add a feature that lets users add Custom Works across all their sites simultaneously. This will make it quicker and easier to perform common optimization tasks on multiple WordPress sites.

Yes, this would be great. I use Clickup for my PMS, tracking support tickets and tracking time - so it would be amazing to some how push these tickets and time as custom works on the client reports.
