Currently using Softaculous staging, available on our server, and also trying InstaWP for this.
Softaculous falls short in a few areas: You can't sync the live site back to the staging site (if you switch back and forth between making bigger changes on staging and small ones on live), and it doesn't clear the cache on the live site when migrating from staging to live (LiteSpeed Cache, on most sites). It does allow you to exclude specific database tables from migration, but you can't save which ones should be excluded. It doesn't get any more granular than that. It also will disable but

delete plugins on the live site, if you've deleted them on the staging site.I'm testing InstaWP, which tracks individual events to sync from one environment to the other. But you have to use their staging environment. I'll soon see how well it works at transferring selected changes from staging to live.
Basically, I want to be able to prepare site changes and migrate them without affecting updated posts (of all types), form submissions, logs, or statistics on the live site. But I know that's much easier said than done!

This would be amazing. It'd be nice if we could have a staging site on the same site underneath a sub-folder for example for the best cost option, but if needing a separate website in WP Umbrella for staging then hopefully it will be treated separately for pricing at a price less than the current per-site cost.

As web design agency we build website on our staging and migrate to clients live domain once project is done. This feature is a must have for us and is blocking us from switching to umbrella at the moment. But we will be ready to switch when this features are available to us.

This is a very handy feature and critical for website management.

This is what I'm waiting for the most. I'm working on some projects and to have staging websites would save me some work.

It would be great (ok to pay an extra fee like the 1h/backup).
Also to get a listening mode (like modify a container in elementor or add article) can update the staging with the new elements/or modify elements.

Will staging sites be free/cheaper?
