Improve update speed

For some reason the update speed is incredibly slow when using WP Umbrella. Bulk updating a few smaller plugins takes "forever", this should be improved. It shouldn't take any longer than if they were updated directly on the site.

Updating about a 100 websites takes almost a work day... I started the process this morning right after getting up and WP Umbrella is still working on updating the plugins.
When I open each site manually, go to the updates page and update them I'm usually done within 30 minutes (20 tabs at once, cycle through)... 
Ideally WP Umbrella is as fast... and I think the issue is that they update each plugin on its own... instead of looping through the list by site and updating each site at once... 
Please fix, this is a real pain...

Michael yes, that's what I'm thinking also. The system updates one and one plugin, and reloads info in between, or something else taking a lot of time. And still they can't update the pro/premium plugins in the bulk, who have been created using a separate plugin (like Rank Math). Quite annoying all in all, especially as the updates made directly on the site isn't included in the reports.

*Even updating just a couple of plugins on one single site takes way to long, compared to direct or other solutions.

True, other tools like iThemes Sync or WordPress itself are noticeably quicker.

Agree that WPU updating plugins (themes, core) can feel quite slow. Syncing was always painfully slow to the point of feeling broken on ManageWP as well, so I'm sort of used to it.

Philippe Braun Watchful.net is quite much faster, almost instant, more in line with using the WP admins update site directly, but sadly they had/have other issues instead.

Agree, even the "quick update" is very slow. I update from the "Bulk management" - "plugins" area.

Agreed. The process for syncing is just way too long at the moment, compared to MainWP who I was using previously. It’s probably my biggest complaint at the moment, because MainWP could sync all 20-25 sites within about 5-10 seconds, but it feels like it’s at least a minute or even 3 minutes for WP Umbrella to sync with the same number of sites. It’s too slow currently.

Press WPU sync button
Check WPU an hour later
