Daily Check for FTP/SFTP Restore Connection with Alert on Failure

We occasionally run into issues where the FTP or SFTP access for site restore is no longer functioning. This becomes especially problematic during urgent situations where a quick restore is needed. To prevent this, it would be incredibly helpful if WP Umbrella could automatically check the FTP/SFTP connection once a day and send an alert if the connection fails. This would allow us to fix any issues ahead of time and avoid delays in critical moments.
Proposed Feature:
- A daily background check to verify if the configured FTP/SFTP credentials for restore still work.
- If the connection fails, send an alert via email or dashboard notification.
- Optionally log these checks in a simple history (success/failure) for troubleshooting.
Benefit:
This would minimize restore downtime, reduce stress during emergencies, and improve the overall reliability of the restore process.

I agree. We've had a lot of issues around this, especially with Immunify 360 firewall blocking the connection. This proactive approach would add some peace of mind. For now, we only use WP Umbrella's backup system as a secondary backup.

Totally agree. If this connection isnt reliable then backup restoration isnt reliable either
