We occasionally run into issues where the FTP or SFTP access for site restore is no longer functioning. This becomes especially problematic during urgent situations where a quick restore is needed. To prevent this, it would be incredibly helpful if WP Umbrella could automatically check the FTP/SFTP connection once a day and send an alert if the connection fails. This would allow us to fix any issues ahead of time and avoid delays in critical moments.
Proposed Feature:
  • A daily background check to verify if the configured FTP/SFTP credentials for restore still work.
  • If the connection fails, send an alert via email or dashboard notification.
  • Optionally log these checks in a simple history (success/failure) for troubleshooting.
Benefit:
This would minimize restore downtime, reduce stress during emergencies, and improve the overall reliability of the restore process.
