Aurelio Volle There is no function to detect php criticals I see? Is that still on the roadmap? Thanks
Aurelio Volle
Thomas Timmers yes, this will come later!
Thomas Timmers
Aurelio Volle Great! thanks
Thomas Timmers
It would be neat to get alerted by email or slackhook when there are critical php-issues

Thomas Timmers Aurelio Volle - this seems like a very important feature. I just submitted a feature request for it.
Aurelio Volle
Brian Van Drie we have seen this guys! it will be added to WP Umbrella in the coming months!

I have two requests on the alerting system:
1) Add standard webhook support to notifications which will allow us to trigger automations etc from our own tools using Make or Zapier
2) Add syncing notifications, a lot of the time, I run the sync websites and updates and that takes time but I never know when it finishes, I have to manually go in and check.

We are currently working on redesigning our alert feature to notify you in case of incidents on WP Umbrella (e.g., a downtime, a completed restoration, a backup error, etc.). The goal is to enable you to set up mass alerts.
We have a simple question: would you like to have more granularity regarding the selected sites? In other words, among all the sites in your portfolio, are there some for which you would like to receive notifications of downtime or backup failure and others not?
To facilitate the processing of your response, I suggest you tell me choice 1 or choice 2.
Choice 1: Notifications that apply to all of your sites.
Choice 2: Notifications that apply to a selection of sites through a template system.
Thank you very much in advance for your response! :-)

Aurelio Volle: I would say Choice 2 as there are sites that are more business critical than others. :)
Aurelio Volle
Henrik Ballangrud Thanks! does this mean that you would turn off some notifications for less critical websites?

Aurelio Volle: Yes, I would like to select what kind of notifications I want per site. Ideally I would most likely set notifications on downtime on all sites, but I would like to specifiy per site each kind of notification :)

Aurelio Volle: I would vote for option 2. But there are also alerts which would apply to all sites. So in the end it would be a mix.

Aurelio Volle: I’ll say choice 2! It will be beneficial to disable some sites notifications also in case of incidents that trigger false alarms, in my experience with other systems like MainWP the constant false alarm emails and notifications make it difficult to understand when there’s a severe incident or just a little hiccup, which increases my digital anxiety 😬

Aurelio Volle: choice 2
Thomas Timmers
Aurelio Volle: Choice 2 offcourse. Can't wait to set alerts for PHP Criticals

It would be amazing to be able to link alerts to tools like Slack or even better, Open Source tools!
Aurelio Volle
Thomas Liberato: it's already possible to link sites to Slack! :)
