When a plugin update fails and hasn't received communication back from the platform, to then auto-restore the plugin folder after x amount of time.

Depending on the fatal error received, being unable to login or restore a backup becomes a problem when you don't have access to the hosting environment.

Adding a check to see if both sides confirm success for the update, and if not to automatically restore the plugin folder to the last backup restoring the services that are being affected.

My Case:

Completed an update for a very outdated plugin and caused a fata error on the website. The platform was unable to communicate or restore the plugin folder. Logging in with admin also fails and left stuck in a waiting period for the host to restore the last backup of the plugin folder.
